Jennifer and Lorimer were so much fun to photograph! Jennifer had expressed an interest in an urban style engagement shoot which was a lot of fun! While I love photographing at the beach, I also really enjoy the fun colors, and different elements of this type of shoot. You’ll find the garden filled with beautiful ponds, small waterfalls and gardens. Heritage Garden is beautiful almost anytime of the day, and you won’t want to miss Iao Valley State Park while you are in the neighborhood. Don’t forget to stop by the fruit stand on the way out for some ono local grinds and an ice cold coconut to quench your thirst.

Stephanie and Sol welcomed their wedding guests with a lovely dinner at the Four Seasons Resort and Spa. The Fountain View Terrace was beautifully decorated by the hotel’s wonderful team. Denise, the coordinator, did an amazing job as always. I also had the opportunity to capture some photos of the couple around the hotel grounds. Stephanie and Sol, congratulations on your wedding. I had such a fun time getting to know Michael and Lynn while photographing their engagement session. We met in Paia Town where the couple walked around and shared a cup of cold gelato from Ono Gelato Company — a nice treat on the hot afternoon. Afterwards, we walked to the sugarcane fields which made for some pretty photos. Our evening ended at Makena Cove, where we were treated to a breathtaking sunset with waves crashing in the background.

Down Town Honolulu Engagement Shoot | Elaine & Richard

Rachel & Tony are officially engaged! I met Rachel last summer at the Maui Bridal Fair , where she was getting ideas for her upcoming wedding. We were amiably chatting in my booth for some time, so later that afternoon, I was thrilled to hear she had won a complimentary engagement session (which I had donated it for the Bridal Fair). We had been in correspondence since then and they recently decided to do the engagement session at Kamaole II Beach. The light was beautiful; we had quite a vibrant sunset! While chatting with them, I found out that Rachel has three daughters and Tony has five grand kids. Don’t they looks so young? Rachel and Tony were so sweet together and their love for each other really shined through in the images. I’m so happy for them – Their wedding day is going to be beautiful!
